Blog History

You probably have had one of those “chance” meetings – the ones that you know are not chance at all but rather God-appointed connections with others.

It was through one of those God-appointed meetings that the vision for this blog was born:  two women – one from Canada and one from the U.S. –  attending the same conference, looking for connection and practical help for life and ministry as a rural and small-town pastor’s wife.

Many emails and some phone calls later, Flowers for the Pastor’s Wife was born.

In case you’re wondering, the title was born out of the fact that we love flowers!

Flowers make us smile!

A simple bouquet of flowers, given out of appreciation, deeply encourages us in our ministry.

In the same way, we hope that you will see each new blog post as a “bouquet of flowers” given just for you – to fill you with courage to keep on keeping on in your role as a rural or small-town pastor’s wife.

A growing, simple network keeps this blog going, and we are excited to see the relationships God builds and blesses through its ministry.
